Blogster.com does not give a person in titles much space, so you have to pick your words carefully. What I wanted my title to say was:
WE MUST MAINTAIN BALANCE BETWEEN BIBLE DOCTRINE, SALVATION, AND DISCIPLESHIP.
Dr. John MacArthur makes a great point that doctrine in the Bible must not be neglected. Some are focusing on the salvation and discipleship, but fail to and indicate the purpose or role value of The Bible. This is definitely a red flag. However as the devil lives in the extreme it is also true that there are those who want to exclude salvation and discipleship when focusing on Biblical Doctrine. All Christian leaders including myself every day have to make sure every day that the gospel and Bible doctrine are always fused together in everything we do by faith. How is this done to claim GOD"s will by faith in whatever always, always, ALWAYS IN JESUS NAME . Some examples are in order.
I know of a great brother whose church is expanding there church building. Ground breaking has already started. We prayed for his church's new building at prayer breakfast to GOD IN JESUS NAME. That's right, IN JESUS NAME . However, I was not focused at the time of really what I should have prayed and here is what I must always, always, Always must declare in my prayers:
Father, WE pray what is your will in this church building project we have faith you will reveal to brother so and so and his church IN JESUS NAME , AMEN.
See the key elements so vital in this prayer above? Bible doctrine of faith is upheld and maintained that pleases GOD. Saying in Jesus' name upholds direct and indirect opportunities to further the gospel someone in that church building project in the future. Will that church do such when shown gospel opportunities? If they seek God's will by faith in their prayers in Jesus' name, yes they will!
I actually heard this argument in seminary that worshipping GOD in a church service had nothing to with the gospel. SAY WHAT? To me they all spiritual schizophrenics. Unconsciously their sincere prayer with God's will by faith in Jesus' name does actually promotes, puts forth the furtherance of the gospel! At the same time, these worship has nothing to do with the gospel folks consciously think their sincere prayers with elements God's will by faith in Jesus name well I don't know excludes salvation invitations and discipleship!
Another example is that social activity kinda people or maybe political matters person. How can the gospel and discipleship have anything involvement whatsoever? What does God's will by faith in Jesus' name have to do with salvation and discipleship when we pray? EVERYTHING! That's why GOD connects with us! That's what we are all about believer!
It is really serious and a waste of time to argue petty arguments as these examples above gave!
If you cannot connect BIBLE DOCTRINE always in everything we do with gospel and discipleship as a believer by using God's will by faith in JESUS' name, better ask GOD for wisdom. You may even have to start and one always does as a believer with the beginning of God's wisdom: FEAR so you can receive and understand and live God's love, GOD dying on the cross for your sins in Jesus' name. Then by faith to GOD by prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving in Jesus Christ there should be no faith in Biblical Ddoctrine versus gospel and discipleship or holiness.
